A)A all powerful being, that has purpose for you,and you need to seek Him&serve Him to learn what that purpose is

Or

C) None of the above.

Neither of those choices makes any sense.

N.O T.A.

(None Of The Above)

First, you have to define the term "God." The problem with most
theists is that this term is a moving target.

In addition, because there is no evidence either for or against the
existence of God, you cannot use deductive logic (a+b=c; therefore c-b=a). You can only reach a conclusion by inductive reasoning using the balance of evidence (90% of A is also B; C is B, so the chances are 90% that C is also A).

So to begin with, I will assert (and others may shoot this down) that the only RELEVANT definition of God states that he intervenes to circumvent natural laws.

If God circumvents natural laws, then it is impossible to understand natural laws. All scientific findings would have to include the stipulation, "it is also possible that these results are an act of God, a miracle, thereby making our research meaningless."

However, since we have been able to expand our knowledge of natural laws (evidenced by every appliance in your kitchen), the scientific method works in this discovery. And the likely conclusion is that God, at least the intervening kind, does not exist.

Additionally, if God is defined as all loving, all powerful, and all knowing, then it is impossible to explain suffering. Either God is not all loving (he acts sadistically), not all powerful (he cannot prevent suffering), or not all knowing (he created suffering by mistake because he didn't know the consequences of his actions).

If God is less than these and/or does not intervene in our existence, then he is either non-existent or irrelevant. The classic Bertrand Russell argument is that I cannot prove that a china teapot is orbiting the sun between the earth's orbit and Mars. But while I cannot prove this is not true, the evidence against it is compelling.

The evidence against God is equally compelling, and while it is not possible to prove beyond any doubt, it makes enormously more sense to live your life as if there were no God.

It is more compelling to me that humans have invented God (a) to help people deal with the pain and fear associated with death and loss, and (b) to reflect the thoughts of the ruling powers in a particular time. Because humans are always looking for reasons, when none were found, it was the natural inclination to declare the cause to be "God" (or gods). As the faith grew, miracles (coincidences) and laws were ascribed to this Divinity, and an orthodoxy grew up around it.

Now it seems unhelpful to believe in such superstition. The only matters that aid in our ongoing well-being are work, location, health, sustenance, and pure, blind luck.

So no, I don't believe God exists. And you know what? It's okay if you do believe God exists.

I am not a person who makes things suit me. I fit in with other things. I wouldn't think of religion and god as something to do stuff for me. If there is a set religion which I want to believe in, I will do as I am told by it. Here is the problem. What does god control? If you think about it, EVERYTHING in the world is Cause and Effect. Everything is cause and effect. Everything us humans do, everything in nature. There are some things that we can't explain. We call some of them miracles, half of which are just scams. Anyway, the point is that God doesn't control anything. So why is he even there? Doesn't make sense to me. How can he have a purpose for me when he doesn't control everything. He's either planned out everything from the beginning of the earth, or he doesn't do crap. That God doesn't make sense to me. Therefore I don't believe in God.

B because only one human will be smarter then the rest and ask to be the supreme all-powerful being and eliminate every "semi-powerful being who should all ways be ready to full-fill your every "
so basically the world will be ruled by someone smart who will eliminate the chaos of everybody wishes

and that's what an atheist thinks without avoiding the question

A) A God to Enslave you and do his bidding

or

B) If this being can fulfill any request whenever you say so, this being is omnipotent and hence not possible to be only semi-powerful.

Hence both can never be in existence because if there is such a all powerful / omnipotent being, then there would not be any conflict.

I don't understand either of your options so I'll offer one of my own:

C) An all-powerful being who cares most about the way we treat others than what religion we're a member of; a being who doesn't care in the least about whether we worship him, because he's more focused on our actions and making this world a better place.

I'm not saying that's what I believe -- it's just the only scenario that makes sense.

Ever see that episode of Star Trek (showing my geek factor, I know) where there was paradise on a planet. They said that they prayed to god who protected them. Well god turned out to be aliens in their orbit just doing things to control the people inhabiting the planet. That's how I feel about religion. It's used to control people and give them a false sense of security and hope.

In order for the question to be fair, you'll have to list the attributes of every god and goddess man has created. There are several thousand.

If I could choose? Well, B, duh. Who wants to be a slave? Past that... I don't think you really understand the concept of not believing in god. I have an imagination, I can pretend like either one of those choices is true, but... you're asking me to decide which one of those pretend scenarios is real. How would I go about doing that? Neither of them are, they're both equally pretend.

I'm an Agnostic, and if there is a god, I'm more inclined to believe in the Deistic version of God, where he made the world and then left it to its own devices. So... none of the above.
