I can only tell you what has worked for me. For the month of February I decided to make sure I drank at least 64 ounces of water a day. That's in addition to whatever else I normally drank.

I made sure to have a 1 liter refillable bottle available that I filled up and drank twice a day.

Combined with exercise and a simple diet (not eating anything after dinner), I lost 4 pounds.

At first, adding that much water to my diet was difficult. There was an "adjustment" period where I was visiting the bathroom on a very regular basis. That lasted for about a week until I figured out how to pace myself better in the water drinking effort. Now I start the day with 6-8 ounces of water and finish the day with about the same. By body has adjusted to the "extra" water.

I don't know for losing weight. If you drink 6 8 oz glasses per day, that maintains good health.
When you drink could help with losing weight.
Observe that little kids want a glass of water prior to meal time and then at meal time they are not hungry(cause they are full of liquid).

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Eight Oz a day would kill you. Eight 8 oz glasses of water a day is bare minimum. Carry around water, try to drink as much as possible. Drink a big glass before every meal. And be careful, because you CAN drink too much water, which can desalinate your body and send you into shock.

I've never heard of the formula you mention. I have heard, read that drinking sufficient water encourages weight loss. Most suggest 8 - 10 (8 oz) glasses every day.

Water doesn't help you lose weight, its simply something your body needs. The reason people claim it may help you lose weight is because some people confuse hunger and thirst signals. You can only lose weight if you eat less calories than you use

Eat cabbage it takes a lot of calories to digest it and it will make you feel full. Try drinking 3 or 4 Litres of water a day. If you drink too much you can actually die from that.

actually a quick way to lose weight is to NOT drink water and to sweat your water weight away. but that is by no means a weight lose program and neither would be simply drinking water. go work out and start eating right.

Also drink your water cold. your body will spend calories to warm the water and it will help your weight loss.
