In such long endurance races, do they piss on themselves, or do they stop to piss?

Endurance athletes are not as gross as we seem but if you gotta go, you gotta go and you have to guage whether or not it is worth stopping at the porta-john or not. if time allows, of course, everyone would rather stop at the pot. However, if you are a mere seconds or hundredths away from losing positioning, you let fly as you stand/ride.

I also can vouce that most runners/cyclists carry toilet paper on their person should they need to stop and drop a deuce while on the course. Modesty is overrated!!!

In cycling race there is a truce between the teams for pissing. You usually pull it out and leak as you ride. Cameras don't film you and other teams don't attack.

In LA marathon I know there porta pottys all over, but I don't know if the elites use it.
