I have two longhaired dachshunds from the same litter. They are two years old and were both fixed this week. The boy will not calm down. He doesn't want to eat, drink, and he won't shutup. He keeps crying and trying to lick and mount her. They have separate crates and are never out together if not in my sight. Is there anything I can do to calm him down??? He is driving me crazy

the male still will have these hormones for about a month. spray him with a water bottle. hopefully in time, the little guy will calm down.

The hormones do not magically disappear at the moment of surgery. Call the vet office and run this by the tech.
