to Chorpus Christi other than the common websites?

Generally websites are the best places to get good deals. Sometimes some "ma 'n' pa" hotels don't have websites. You might look at the Corpus Christi convention and visitors bureau or chamber of commerce for a listing of area hotels and then call them individually.

Apparantly the rates given to overseas visitors might work out better, than to US residents. You might want to give it a try

Well, what part of the world are you looking at?
I know some cheep hotels, but you may not want to stay at Glenmaggie, or Camperdown!!
