I'm 13 (14 in two weeks), 5" 1', 90 lbs and I want to lose some fat, and flatten my stomache. I'd also like to shrink my thighs. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you're at a good weight. Anyone who is 90 lbs and wants to lose weight is nuts. Also, very few people are happy with the way they look at 13-14. People at that age just look kinda funny. It's expected. Everyone goes through awkward moments, and they'll pass.
...But I could be wrong. If you're sure you want to lose fat, do plenty of cardio. Mark a 1-mile course and run that 3-5 times a week. If you can't run the whole way, take short walking breaks, then run again.

hi,
what you see as fat, is something your body naturally does at this age, to start your change of your figure into womanhood. you can't afford to lose anymore weight. normal for you at 5' 1" is 95 - 116 lbs. if you do any toning exercising, remember, toned muscles weigh more than fat. it's very important that you know this, as the raise in weight may scare you. listen to me please, you are the right age, at the wrong weight (underweight), to be going into a eating disorder. i urge you PLEASE, do not go down this road. it becomes very addicted that even you won't be able to stop without intervention. my oldest daughter became anorexic right before my eyes, it nearly killed her. don't mess with this please. her hair fell out, her nails got brittle, her periods stopped. step by step, her body kept making sacrifices in other important bodily functions, as to keep her brain and heart alive. i have seen what eating disorders can do to a young girl..and to their family's. please do not do this yourself or your loved ones. God be with you!!!

i cannot believe the advice that is being given to this girl!! she's in danger! don't be so blind!!! please!!!

I'd just like to say, I am so jealous of you, you make me feel bad about my weight. I am basically the same age, height everything as you, but about 35 pounds heavier. I feel fat; however, you have absoutly no reason to. Enjoy your body--you're blessed to be skinny.

Do toning for teens by joyce vedral! Its what I do and it's soooooooo good! Ihas everything, tips for wieght loss, exersise plan and eating plan! It's the greatest!!!
