For emphasis. To make a point clear. That goes for italics, underlined words, fully capitalized words.

"STOP!" written like that (capital letters, exclamation mark) is to indicate yelling or a sense of urgency/desperation by the speaker. They're in quotation marks to show that someone is speaking and these are his/her exact words. So the use of italics, underlining or capitalizing full words is the writers way of showing the reader how the words were said (i.e. tone of the speaker).

In addition to setting off direct quotes, quotation marks are also used around the titles of short stories or to set off certain words, e.g. The word "is" in the above sentence should be changed to "are" for subject-verb agreement. In some cases when you refer to letters or numbers, they should be surrounded by quotation marks, e.g. In the sentence above, the letter "c" is missing from the word "punctuation." The number "1" is often used to designate a first-place team.

Underlining can be used for emphasis, but it is also used to show the title of a book, magazine, newspaper, etc. Items underlined in handwritten documents may be either underlined or italicized in print.

The best way to make things clear is to use the correct punctuation and grammar. Then again, you do manage to get across the message of being rude and ungrateful very succinctly.
