It's Wicca, just done alone (solitary) and it draws from several old traditions (eclectic). It's ok. Because the eclectic can decide whether to involve a Saxon or Celtic god or goddess in a ritual, there is more open to personal choice and exploration. Or dieties (gods) from any ancient theology. Or certain practices from just about anywhere. Eclectic means it's personal, diverse, and may not translate to another's practice all that well. Someone from a 'solid' tradition might snicker at you, but that would just show that they miss the point. It's not all about finding a new dogmatic doctrine to adhere to. It's about finding what you are most comfortable doing. You'd never have to say 'gee, I like this ritual in this book, but it's based on ancient faith X and I'm dedicated to ancient faith Y'.

Wicca is a pretty broad heading for a Goddess based religion.

When you say you’re eclectic solitary you are saying you practice alone (no coven/group/or circle) and you borrow from a variety of traditions.

It's hard to know without knowing the context. It sounds like someone might have been describing what they believe. Solitary, eclectic - would mean that they follow wiccan beliefs, for the most part, but change them as they see fit - and they don't worship with others. My best guess anyway.

First question: I think it's just another fancy way to say your wiccan. You like if someones ethnicity is plain ol white but they spice it up by saying they're Caucasian.

Second question:I have no idea.

Third question: I think it falls under the right heading-Religion & Spirituality.

Sorry I don't have a better answer for you!!!

Ecclectic Wiccans are different from "regular" Usually denoting British Traditional Wiccan, in that Ecclectic means that they have chosen to pick and choose which Gods, and practices they utilize from different traditions and paths they like.
