You should be licensed professional engineer with more than 15 years of experience. If you establish your own business as consultant engineer then you can make 2-3 million per year.

Yes, it's fairly common in Silicon Valley. Senior chip designer, FPGA guys and many other design specialists make this kind of money. Typically they have 15+ years of experience to get to that level and often are in management roles supervising more Jr. engineers.

Im a trades person......in the city I make about $ 50,000
in the country at a mine site $ 130.000
in Iraq..I could make $ 500,000
so yearly income for you would be at least the same...
