it is an oil painting of a caucasian woman against a black background. she is wearing an orange/peach colored tunic, and is wearing a blue and white headdress. i'm pretty sure her front is facing to the left, but her face is turned and she stares directly at the viewer. hopefully i've given you enough details; does anyone know the name of this painting or the artist's name? thanks!

does she have a large pearl earring on? if she does and the painting only shows her shoulders and head, then it sounds like "Girl with a Pearl Earring" by Johannes Vermeer
