Look, I like this guy and he knows it, and i keep hearing rumors around school that we go together. i know im not starting them. maybe its him.what should i do?

Rumours are just that-rumours.Ask whomever told you this to tell you who told them.If they cannot or will not then there is a good chance they are the ones starting the rumours.If you like the guy,ask him point blank if he started the rumour.If he says yes,then move on as this was very childish.Usually people start rumours because they have nothing to go on and are fishing for imformation hoping you will tell them what they want to know.

Why don't you just tell him about the rumors you've heard and ask him if he's heard them too? If he appears to be embarrassed, he's at least heard the rumors too. If he seems embarrassed AND a bit pleased, he may very well have started them because he's too shy to ask you.
Now if you're really brave and know him pretty well as a friend, you could just walk up to him and say something like, "You know, if you want to go out with me all you have to do is ask. You don't have to start rumors to get my attention." Remember to laugh a bit as you're saying it. Then you can fill him in on the rumors you've been hearing.
Might be kind of scary, but the best way to handle most situations like this is to take the bull by the horns and open communication. So many things between people are misunderstood because nobody's willing to take that first scary step and open up a dialog. I say, face the fear and end the confusion. In my book it's better to know than to waste time wishing and wondering.

Ask him if he has heard the rumors and if by chance he started them. If he didn't, then go with the rumors since you like him and suggest you go on a date!

Life is way TOO short. Next time you see this guy, smile and strike up a conversation. I think having confidence is a major turnon for most guys. Have a slight attitude, but not as if you are conceited. Be a leader, not a follower!!!! Good Luck to you!

Do you love him? Try starting as friends, then after a while down the road of life, y'all can start something. You gotta listen to your heart and who knows, he might be that speical someone.
