My office may be bugged so I'm looking at one that detects a 100-2600 MHz frequency signal within a 1 to 10 m (32 ft) area. Will it work?

That will depend upon its sensitivity and the power of the transmitter. There's no way of telling until you try.

Oh, by the way, 1 to 10m isn't an area, it's a linear measurement (a length.)

Good detectors cost thousands of dollars and they work just fine in the hands of a skilled operator. But the inexpensive detectors result in lots of false positives from many non-threatening signals found throughout most office buildings. If you don't want to needlessly destroy your walls and ceilings, I strongly suggest you contact a professional counter-surveillance specialist.
