I think it might be because of all of the fast food restaurants and stress going on in their lives.

Because in the past there wasn't any very good TV or computers or big technology in the past so then people mostly went out side because there was nothing better to do and not as much fatty foods and look at TV today and computers teens use instant messaging and emailing so they don't need to go out

I think it is because more families now a days do not participate in family things. Kids are always sitting around playing those video games and not outside with parents and or peers running around, walking, ect. They veg in front of the TV and eat chips. I think there should be well balanced meals at the table where everyone eats together, and parents can monitor what goes into there child's mouth. Carrots vs. cupcakes. Get these kids involved in sports and school functions.

I think it's more a lack of activity than anything else. My older sister and I ate more than our fair share of junk food as teens, but we were constantly out riding our bikes, walking the neighborhood, playing frisbee or baseball, etc... and we remained slim despite the crap we fed our bodies. My younger sister (15 yrs. younger) ate the same amount of junk but spent all of her time on video games, tv, talking on the phone, internet, etc... and never even learned to ride a bike. Sadly she became obese and suffers from poor health because of it.

We also used to have gym class every single school day... that's no longer the case for kids today. I know some kids who only have one semester of gym throughout high school... and only one or two days a week during that semester.

Of course, now that I'm an adult, I can no longer eat pizza and ice cream every day and keep my figure, but luckily I've maintained my active lifestyle, so I don't have to starve myself to stay thin either.

When I was a teen, I had daily chores, participated in team sports, actually participated in school gym class, played basketball 6 days a week, walked to school and most places I needed to go. Its all about inactivity of the youth of today who like to spend hours in front of a TV playing video games or watching MTV, consume tons of junk food, cant even walk 2 blocks to the store etc.

There was rationing in the past, due to WW2. There didn't used to be fast food outlets everywhere.
People used to have manners and not eat until they were at home, sitting round the dining table.
Children didn't used to have money for treats like extra food (we were all a lot poorer)
Food manufacturers didn't use to make quite so much junk food : crisps, mars, twinkies,
People used to walk/cycle to school. and have a paper round, and do jobs ( mowing lawns, walking to the shops)
Nobody had T.V. or computers to sit in front of all day. If you wanted entertainment you could read a book or go out and play( football, kite, fishing, dens)

Some ideas for you......

First, and most obviously, there was a lot less junk food back then. In addition, back then the junk food as actually made of food; most modern junk foods are so full of chemicals, preservatives, artificial sweeteners, dyes, etc, that they barely resemble food any more, and have virtually no nutrients.
There are also way too many modern conveniences that reduce kids' need to actually get up and do something. For example, kids used to need to go outside and play to have fun; now they have video games, TV, and the Internet. Also it is way easier to keep in tuch with their friends. Kids used to need to write letters or get up and use the house's phone. Now they have IM, e-mail, cell-phones, and texts. They barely even need to move, unless they go to grab something to eat.

No, yet puberty may reason the guy to strengthen taller and the burden will distribute itself somewhat, in case you want to seem somewhat thinner (yet no longer a lot). An overweight pre-youngster has already more suitable ingesting habit that positioned the burden on, and until eventually they replace their ingesting habit to be in good structure and weight-unsleeping, they are going to be an overweight youngster and individual.

The truth , THEY ARE, reason lack of self control. Additionally, parents need to learn to cook at home. Not boxed foods warmed in the microwave. But natural foods. Also, a little known fact, sugar contributes to more of the obesity than fat intake. Reason, the body converts excess sugar into fat. And it stays right around the waist.

Because now they have all this stuff tt does stuff for you so you don't have to waste the energy and stuff so thats one reason and another is because of like tv, theres more stuff to watch and the internet is way better now then t was bfore so they do stuff like that where you don't have to get up and exercise. And also the food has been getting really crappy and its hard to find healthy food in peoples homes now because the parents don't teach their kids or at least they can't find a way to get through to them to takebetter care of their bodies. Stuff like that.

Our genes have been genectically altered with all the different types of food intake but remember that whatever they are , the nutritionists have added all necessary vitamins etc.
All animals, fish and veggies have being improved in size and weight which result in us looking bigger and so forth.
Remember to exercise like biking or skate board and other healthy stuff.
