It seems that the Conservative Christian follows Moses, while the Liberal Christian follows Jesus. Moses is focused on the Law, while Jesus is focused on the Spirit. Moses was into punishment, while Jesus was into forgiveness. Moses advocated violence, while Jesus advocated non violence. And so on...

There is no such term as a "Mosian" - people that follow the teachings of Jesus Christ are called "Christian". (Also thousands of other names, to be sure.)
Now, getting more than 1 human to think the same or believe the same on every matter is impossible; so there will always be differences.
The details is where the devil worms his way into the harmony of the larger picture. To cause strife.
So if you can ignore the devil and rejoice that Jesus is involved in our lives.
My impatience at humanity to focus only on the smallest detail (do I kneel or stand now? In France they do this - in Canada they do this: which is right) - when the larger issues (hunger, diseases, anger, etc.) are still incomplete keeps me going to confession every month. (That and I sin to much in other regards, of course.)
Whether a person has green hair or blue is not important in being a Christian.
Just living as close to the teachings that Jesus explained is the point.
Jesus saw this and helped by reissuing the commandments and reducing the number to TWO (2)!! And we still can't live as Jesus wants!
Please do not hyphenate your Christian family - this will cause isolation and pain, which of course is wrong in any family.
Just call everyone a Christian, and let GOD reward people as they deserve.

You're trying to make comparisons and parallels that don't work, don't ring true, and generally are inaccurate.

No Christian worthy of the title follows Moses. Some conservatives may be legalistic, but not by any stretch of the imagination do they follow Moses. "Christian" means follower of Christ, period. Moses did not advocate violence; he did pass on what God told him to, including the so-called Mosaic Law. It was God's decision, not Moses's. Did Jesus really advocate non-violence? Where exactly do you get that? He commanded that believers "turn the other cheek," but that is not advocating non-violence, it is advocating accepting wrongs against oneself. Why do you say Moses was into punishment? He did what God told him to; he was into obedience. Do you really feel comfortable judging Moses? Moses was a very humble man who loved the people he led out of Egypt. I advise caution in criticizing this good man.

Now conservatives , both Christian and political, seem to tend to be hard-nosed, strict morally speaking, and cold; whereas liberals, both types, seem to tend toward being lenient and perhaps more likable.

Now, on the other hand, a much better and more feasible analogy or comparison would be the similarity between present-day Christian conservatives and New Testament Pharisees, and between present-day Christian Liberals and New Testament Sadducees.

Considering Moses and Jesus aren't even in the same class, they can hardly be compared. Jesus is God! Whose Law do you thing Moses was following? God's Law...In other words Moses was following the Law of Jesus.

It amazes me that people don't have a clue on who Jesus Christ was/is. Love is not the only characteristic that He has. He is also wrathful and jealous....so get right with Him.

Actually you only have it half right. While conservative Christians often have a legalistic attitude towards religion, liberals have an almost gnostic attitude towards religion. Sure, they call it spirituality but it's not the teachings of Jesus that God is only love and doesn't care about holiness and obedience. Jesus came full of grace AND truth. That's why when the woman was brought before Him who was caught in adultery he didn't condemn her but told her to go her way AND sin no more.

Christian = "Little Christ"

I believe that what you are referring to is this new breed of person who call themselves a "Conservative Christian". I think it would be more accurate to say that they are (in order) 1. All Americans 2. Republicans 3. Christians . GOD is simply a means to validate their political agenda. Never the less the Gospel is being preached so it is a good thing.

Grace and peace to you.

No Liberals focus on gays and abortion and stuff like that. Jesus would have NO PART of that. Quit making up a Jesus and stick to the one of Scripture.
