I'd like to breed my dog but have never experienced canine pregnancy or birth. I want to be very prepared and would like to know if there are any websites that offer pictures and/or videos of an average dog birth. I'm a bit squeemish so I know the better informed I am then the better I'll be able to handle this. I love my doggie and want to help her (besides contacting her vet) Thanx in advance guys!!!

The best advice I can give you is to go to a breeder ask her if she be willing for you to witness puppies being born. There is more to breeding than a dog just having puppies. She should be willing to help you and answer any question you have for her.. My sis in law thought she wanted to breed dogs..So I had her come to my home and witness the puppies being born and all the things that come with it after the birth. After it was all done she said Well, this isn't for me. She never did go into breeding.
There are sad sides too that you need to be aware of. Read books and get the experience also. I am a firm believer that some people can be book smart and experience stupid..Be both.. There is a lot of work in breeding dogs. Tired nights, No end of washing bedding. I wouldn't give that up for anything in the world. I love all the work that comes with it.
