well in steps...

1. start a conversation
2. in said conversation bring up a movie "you want to see" and if she says she wants to see it too ask her if she "wants to go with you this weekend"
3. she will either say yes or no

if she makes up an excuse or flat out says no don't worry about her telling everybody because most girls aren't like that and second off you didn't exactly say it was a date so you can play it off like you asked her to go as a friend b/c none of your other friends wanted to go with you.

If you want to ask a girl out, pick one that is receptive to you, meaning if she smiles at you, laughs at your jokes that sort of thing. Chances are she will say yes. If you ask a girl that you like from afar and that shows you no attention at all, she will say no. As far as getting them to not tell anyone, you are in school and unfortunely you can't stop people from talking about things like that. The best way to ask is to just be direct and say it. You don't have to explain yourself, just say I like you would you like to go out. If she says no, it isn't the end of the world, ask someone else. ask out a girl privately. pull her aside and tell her you really like her and you'd like to take her out one day to a movie or something. if she says no, she says no. move on. and as far as making sure she doesn't tell everyone, you can tell her you would appreciate that if she kept this between us, and that will restrict her blabbing to her close girlfriends instead of the whole city. but there's no way to completely prevent her from telling people. she's a girl. girls talk.
