I've been going to the gym for the passed two weeks everyday for about 1 1/2 and now I am able to go twice a day for an 1 1/2 so it would be 3 hrs a day. Now my friends say it can be alot for my body. I am eating right and have been for the passed 3 months before i started going to the gym. Does anyone know if it is true?

Workout routines that don’t deliver what you expect may be a waste of energy.

Most workout routines designed to improve your aerobic fitness involve exercising for 20 minutes or longer at a percentage of your maximum heart rate — known as your training zone.

Quite apart from the fact that the formula traditionally used to calculate your maximum heart rate is extremely inaccurate,

some workout routines can elevate your heart rate without having any effect on your cardiovascular fitness. In other words, it's possible to raise your heart rate, keep it there for 20 minutes or more several times each week, and it won't improve your fitness in the slightest.

Yes it is possible, but everyone has different limits.

For you, you're obviously very fit and can handle 3 hours of working out (and with eating right, that's great!) Also, since this has been going on for 3 months and you don't have any negative side effects, you are fine. And if it becomes too easy for you, go ahead and amp it up - just a little.

As long as you are taking in sufficient nutrients and water you will be fine. Endurance athletes workouts for 5 and 6 hours stints 6 days a week without negative repurcussion. Just make sure you are taking in the nutrients you NEED or you could hit a wall or cause a chemical imbalance in your body.

Good luck!

At a point yes. Overworking yourbody can get very very critical and be a major problem in your health. Just try to work out and excersise safe, not untill you fall and work your self out dead. But I dont blame you I LOVE working out, its not that common in girls.

its too much, if your working out the same muscle group each time,

its not too much if your working out different muscle group each time. you should leave 24 hrs for your muscle to recover from working out. drink alot of water!!!

As long as you work your way up to that level, fine. Don't overdo. You can make yourself very stiff if you do.
