If it was while they were dating, at least he told her about it which shows honesty. However, it says that maybe he isn't all that physically attracted to her, which can cause problems in the future. I'd say he is a poor bet to count on.
STD's are probably not a concern, for example, there has never been a single case of HIV in a Nevada brothel and the cases of chlamydia and gonorrhea are negligable. Other women don't want to believe this, but prostitutes are the safest people around.

I would not date anyone that has been with a prostitute. That tells me that he thinks of women as things and not as people. She needs to get checked out for STD's and dump him fast.

It depends on if he was already dating your friend when he was with the prostitute or not.
If he was, she should dump him. Cheating is cheating.
If he was with the prostitute before he met your friend, get over it. I would suggest they both go get tested for std's either way.

First off, did he visit the prostitute before he was dating her or while he was dating her. If it was while he was with her she should dump him and get tested for STDs and if it was before he was dating her, she should talk to him about it and still get tested for STDs

She needs to be checked for stds. If he was with the prostitute while they were together she needs to dump him.

Leave him, if it was when they were together, since that is the lowest of low on cheating grounds. But if it was in his past, tell her to get his nasty *** tested, and do not give him anything until the test results are in.

DUMP HIS ***! Any guy that is willing to pay for sex is desperate. Not only that what about diseases etc? Yuk! Your friend can do way better than that.

Make sure she never has sex with him without using a condom... and get tested for sexually transmitted diseases soon! Insist he does the same if she plans to have sex with him.
