There is a man whom I have loved for 7 years. Until 1 1/2 years ago we were to marry. He is so in my heart and soul, that I still compare all to him. He is an older Muslim man, a Diplomat for a Western nation serving in the Middle East.

The war breaking out ended our marriage plans. A few weeks ago he told me of a mutual friend whom he wished to marry but she would have none of him. He asked me to advocate for him. It broke my heart but I did so and she accepted his proposal.

For the past few weeks I have had to be happy for them both while weeping in my soul. I write this and tears threaten to flow. I am glad they are happy. But I still fantasize about him. She was just with me and they were "horny texting" and ... I had to leave.

Honestly, a man I just let know in a letter that I wasn't going to see him anymore because I found out his, "not my girlfriend" is his girlfriend. We knew each other in our early 20's. Now we are in our mid 30's, and hooked up again.
