Makeup and hair for "Banquet"?

It's not exactly prom, but kind of the same idea. No dancing, I think. But anyway ... my dress is floor length, black, and has pink trimming, sort of. Spaghetti strap, but it has this shawl thing that is half black and half pink. I have kind of a round face, and medium length layered brown hair. How should I do makeup and hair, especially?

With the black dress you want black mascara definitely and just a very fine line of black eye liner. For eyeshadow go with the grays for a smokey look. Since your hair is layered, roll it in one inch curlers so you will have soft curls all over your head
