The runt of the litter is usually the one that may have problems. How long did the fit last for? Is the pup relatively alert or is it sluggish and dopey? Is the mother healthy? Has the pup been feeding properly? Has he fed since the fit? Answer all these questions then take all the pups and mom to the vet with the answers. Sounds like an epileptic fit, which can have many or no causes. If he is having them this young then it may be a lifelong thing, as fits starting later in life are often triggered by things eg medications, unusual happenings. The vet will want to monitor mom and pups, because at this young age a pup could start to fit and may never stop. I own a sick doberman who is the only one left out of her litter, one pup died at 3 months old after fitting and couldnt be stopped, another died at 14 months old after having a fit that caused brain damage another had a heart attack at 17 months old and the last one died after being hit by a car at 20 months old. Take your dogs to the vet asap.

Why in the world are you breeding dogs, when you cannot provide them with vet care, which by the way is required by law? You are breaking that law, by not providing proper and necessary care to all of your dogs. You are not taking this situation seriously and you are not responsible or qualified enough to be breeding any dog. If you were responsible, then you would have been financially prepared for a crisis. These puppies and their mom did not ask to be put in this situation and because they are helpless are counting on you as their owner to take care of them. If you can't take them to the vet because of your crisis, then please for their sake, take the mother and all the puppies to the vet and surrender them all to the vet. The vet will check and treat any problems they have, then if they do survive, will find them all a good, loving home, that can afford to take them to the vet and provide them all with the love and care they desperately need. They deserve at least a chance! The puppy that is having the seizures is going to die without a vets help and it's not going be a very pleasant death for this puppy. It will be a very painful death for this puppy. The other puppies may also have some medical problems and may not be showing any signs yet. You are NOT taking this seriously and you are shrugging it off like it's No Big Deal, that this puppy had, as you say ONLY 2 seizures. This puppy and the others should not be having even one seizure. You have 3 choices. 1. You let this puppy and possibly the others die because you can't afford a vet! 2.You can find a way to get the money, take responsibility and take them all to the vet. 3. You can surrender the mother and her puppies to the vet and give them all a chance at a happy life. They deserve at least that much. STOP BREEDING DOGS!!! I'll bet you don't even have homes lined up for these puppies, which means they will also end up in an already way overcrowded shelter and probably Euthanized along with many others, because there are not enough homes to go around and adopt all the dogs overcrowded shelters. Please do not get another animal if you can't afford veterinary care, even during a crisis. If someone sees the puppy having seizures in this condition and they report you, you will have all of your dogs taken away from you, you will pay a very hefty fine and will possibly go to jail for Animal Neglect and Cruelty.

We have a doberman and when he was around your puppy's age, he too had seizures. It was a scary thing, it happened a few times, and we always took him straight to the vet. The vets really didnt have an answer to it, but they prescribed him a medication called Phenobarbitol which helps reduce the chances of your puppy getting the seizures. The only problem with the medication is that it is something the dog must take for their entire life, and it can reduce their lifespan, but it was either that or put him to sleep so we took the pills instead of the latter choice. I think it was epilepsy, and he hasnt had a single seizure since he was about six months old, and hes almost five years old now. (and verrry playful might i add) The vet thinks he grew out of having seizures as crazy as that sounds. If your puppy does end up having a seizure again, you need to make sure you contain him so he doesnt harm himself or you! and he can choke on his own tongue too during a seizure so you want to make sure you can watch him! good luck, your puppy will be FINE dont give up on him yet. it could just be something he'll grow out of like ours did! GOOD LUCK

Highly unusual for a 4 week old puppy to seizure. This may not be a seizure but may be a disease that it is fighting. Go see a vet.

i have a 12 year old chihuahua, and she has seizures too, we took her to the vet and they said she was so old she would be put to sleep, but that wont happen to your dog though. What i do when she has seizures is you hold them up to your heart and your heart beat calms them down, hold em real close to you so there legs wont drawl up if your dog has a seizure. I would take your puppy to the vet to see what he says about your puppy's condition. Good luck

Take him to the vet. My dog had that when he was like 6 years old (he is now 15 and still kickin') and turns out he had diabetes. So check it out.

Could be a case of epilepsy, or the dumb version of rabies.
Did you get these puppies from a breeder and did the breeder provide you with a warranty/guarantee? If so, immediately contact them AND the veterinarian. If not, ... contact the veterinarian and get them checked out.. and definitely get their vaccinations. Oh dear. I hope its not either of the two.
