Apparently there was concern because some of the flavorings are in an alcohol solvent, but the final product contains essentially no alcohol. Still, the tiny trace amounts are evidently enough for at least one source to discourage consumption. (See link below.) Trace quantities of alcohol occur naturally in many fruit juices, but are ignored because they are not added by man and almost impossible to remove. It seems that the issue with Dr. Pepper (which could be applied to some other products) is not the actual amount in the final product, but that it is added and thus could (in theory) be avoided.
