In my opinion kids that start smoking at the begining of highschool continue to smoke frquently thorugh highschool, then towards the end of highschool they stop and "grow out of it" Has anyone else experienced this among teenagers? If so, whats your reasoning?

I am curious as to if there is a neurological explanation this?

I can't say that age was necessarily a factor for me, but I think its more of an experimental thing. I know people who still smoke that are nearing 40 and some even older.
Me personally, I was about 15. I smoked for a few years, but I stopped when I was 19 cause I started dating this guy who's dad was a cop and I used to get super paranoid. ha ha (I miss those days!!)
I grew away from the HS friends I smoked with and started hanging with people who didn't. After that I got pregnant and turned into a mom and felt guilty if I ever even thought about it.
I think I just grew out of it. I think it might be fun after so many years, but it just doesn't have the draw for me it used to.

as far as a neurological explanation, I don't know. Everyone I know who has quit treefer after high school quit either because they just didn't like the feeling of being groggy and lazy anymore, or quit for job/career related reasons. I will never quit. I love treefer. I lead a normal productive happy life, i dont drink or do any other drugs however. I am 29 and started smoking when i was 15. did i say i love the stuff???

for myself it was more of social thing. I only enjoyed smoking with friends, but as you get older most people stop and only a few diehard (potheads) keep on smoking. You come to a point where it becomes a question of lifestle instead of a something to do before you can go to the bars. i think as you get older you have more options and relize that other things in life (even if all you want to do is party) are more fullfilling. I also think it's a hassle to find a illegal drug so the inconvince also plays a factor. in the end it becomes a risk vs reward type of situation, and the benefits of marijuana are minimal, and the risk and inconvience become more apparent as you get older.

I think kids develop an alter ego, a chemical state dependent perspective that effectively enforces a dual perspective particularly on young minds that are otherwise being disciplined into unquestioning obedience by an education system dominated by propaganda. The earlier they start the more pronounced this effect and the more difficult it is to live w/out the ability to tap into this second consciousness that compares varying conclusions can see why all is not necessarily as it seems from one perspective. I think two biochemical states of consciousness allow a freedom of thought that is being expunged from our day to day lives in homogenized super competitive western societies.

And this has to do with legalizing how??? whether it grew to become into legal minors should not be smoking it, so the place's the question? below the age of sixteen definite that is going to reason issues, stunted growth, psychological issues, and so on. comparable with ciggarettes, comparable with alcohol. yet no longer everybody who smokes is detrimental, ever heard of Virgin information or Virgin airways, you already know the guy who owns it? Richard Branson? do you already know he's a billionaire? did you already know he grew to become right into a pothead? He even reported if it grew to become into legalized he might sell it. No that is not for each individual, and definite it particularly is detrimental to little ones below sixteen, yet assured those little ones you're speaking approximately weren't doing in basic terms any previous eco-friendly, they have been going for the crippy, and that stuff particularly messes human beings up of each and all ages. to no longer point out they're in all probability popping Zanax or exstasy or regardless of recent pill is out. i understand because of the fact while i grew to become right into a baby that's what my acquaintances did, yet I in user-friendly terms stayed with eco-friendly, granted i grew to become into 17 on the time. i'm at present 6'2", so i do no longer see a concern with stunted growth on my area. So no legalizing it, does not have any impact on human beings underage, because of the fact they might desire to no longer be doing it besides!
