Wow, it is getting close to the big day! Here are a couple easy and yummy ideas:

-Italian buffet: spaghetti, pizza, lasagna, a salad, and some chicken parmigiana. You can even do cannolis for dessert! All of the food is easy to make and can be prepped ahead of time.

- BBQ: get burgers and dogs and assign a groomsman to be in charge of the grill. Then you can pre-make salads, chips, and dessert. Easy and very casual. A very easy pasta salad recipe is to make noodles and throw them in a roasting pan with chunks of mozzarella cheese, olives, canned diced tomatoes, peppers, onions, olive oil and vinegar.

- Mexican fiesta: You can do beans, tacos, burritos, chips and salsa, and anything you can desire.

- Standard wedding buffet made simple: Chicken marinated in Italian dressing (not the creamy kind) over night and then grilled. Stick it in the oven to reheat before the reception. Red mini-potatoes (cut them in quarters, stick them in a foil roasting pan with olive oil, garlic, and rosemary), green beans, and rolls.

Good Luck!

Food is not served at the ceremony. For the dinner at the reception, something like Baron of Beef is nice, or chicken breasts, with assorted side dishes. Depends on if you are having meal served or a buffet.

Try to have two options for the main meal....chicken, pork , beef, or fish

A variety of different salads, a lettuce salad, pasta salad, fruit salad.....

Green beans, corn , and mashed potatoes & gravy or scalloped potatoes.

Unless you are throwing a huge shebang thats gonns cost a buttload of money I would say keep the menu simple...that way guests dont feel overwhelemed by it all!!!

Without info we could make suggestions all night.

Just remember those that might be vegetarian or on a restricted diet.

It depends on how fancy you may want it to be. If nobody is picky you can do any kind of spaghetti dish or pork barbecue. Taco salad or any kind of cold salad. The last wedding I was at the everyone wanted seconds of the barbecue, but they ran out.

What kind of food do they serve at your reception location? The most popular choice is chicken.

No fish...I don't know I just never liked fish. Beef or chicken (have a choice) and then after that just rice, veggies.
