I know you need to have a passport picture taken and you will need a certified birth certificate. I doubt if you can renew a child's passport, but you can get that information at your main post office. Call the post office and they can tell you which post office handles passports. I noticed the other day when I was at the post office, if you are willing to wait 6 weeks the cost is considerably less than trying to get on express. I hope this helps you.

The process differs from place to place. All passports will expire eventually unless you are 11 or less years old, you will probably need to renew yours. I can't speak for your location, but where I live, the process for renewal and the process for a first time application are exactly the same.

It typically involves quite a bit of identification i.e. Birth Certificates, Drivers Liscences etc. Yoyu will need a photo, specifically for passports, they are very picky about this. Go to a place that specifically does passport photos.

You will probably need a Guarantor, someone of a specific set of professions who has known you for a specified amount of time, to sign something and some non-relative references.

Basically, you have to ask someone where you live where the nearest passport office is, go there or find the website for the State/Province/Region where you live and get an application, then do what the application asks you to do.

You can get one at the local post office. The link is below to the application and what you will need to get it. I would think your old passport, maybe a birth certificate, and a drivers license (maybe a SSN card too) should be enough. Not that easy to get but they last like ten years or so for an adult. If you need one fast, there are places to get them in a few days, but be willing to pay a high premium.

You can usually take care of all that at the post office. If it was less than about 10 years, I think they can just renew it. You can just go there and explain the situation and they will help you fill out the correct paper work. Also, you may need to get your photo taken somewhere, such as Walgreens or Sams' Club.

You can go to one of the many facilities that you can obtain passports at. Such as Federal, state and probate courts, post offices, some public libraries and quite a few county and municipal offices.

You can get the form on the internet. You will need two pics of yourself and you will have to appear in person since it has been so long since you had one. The larger post offices have passport offices in them.
