Please help. To me it kinda looks like a face but I'm not sure what kind of face, and what it means, or if it is an abbreviation for something.

:D is used, but not :d
I can't really make anything out of it, unless you can think of it as if somebody is smoking out of his nose.

:d can look like a face that is unsure or disappointed. The colon ":" are the eyes, and the "d" is the nose and mouth, where the loop is the nose and the vertical line is the mouth. If you were to capitalize the "d" so that the face looks like ":D" it would make a happy face

Would'nt thind :d has any meaning.Can't say I've ever come across this symbol in a definative way.Unless it's some sort of call sign(code)to particular users.Sorry

It's a laughing emoticon. Usually people capitalize the D.
