I would say to go Ice skating because then and this girl that you like can get to know each other. It will be more intimate then going to the movies. Because if you go to the movies you won't really get a chance to talk to her and see how she's really like. Maybe you can do both, first go to the movies and then go hang out at the ice skating rink to talk and whatever. I hope you and that girl have a wonderful first date. Good Luck!!

well the movies is "the classic first date"... the movies is espeically good for first dates because it calms the nerves and allows you to not feel too uncomfortable or awkward for a First date... since it is your first you are both probably nervous.. and especially if she's more a shyer girl, then she will probably prefer the movies first, so she can get to be comfortable with you first.. and not have to talk so much.. it's best for a First date. ice skating can be uncomfortable if you don't know the person Really well... and can be a lot more fun for like a second date.. because then you could hold hands or whatever. i dated this guy just recently and we went to the movies for our first date.. and then he suggested the ice skating rink for the second one (because i found out later he wanted to hold my hand) but also, if she's not that good at ice skating, you don't want to embarrass her on a First Date.. this can really destroy her confidence for her that she thinks you think of her. movies are a safe bet, but ice skating would probably be Funner, because it's more Active. your choice. i'm sure either would go great!! :) good luck and have fun!!!

Ice Skating is a much better idea...you can get to know each other and have tons of fun. Going to the Movies is a good date idea, but not for the first or second. The point is to talk to each other and you really can't do that in a movie theater.

They're both good dates, but I would go with the ice skating rink. Simply because you can talk to your date more and get to know them. At the movies you are mostly watching the movie.

Ice Skating Rink hands down! You can laugh when you fall and support each other. Top that night off perfectly with a dinner out.

Definitely ice skating. You two can have some fun together and talk a little bit. You can't really have a conversation in a theatre. And if you don't talk to her, how do you know if you want to go out again? I would suggest ice skating, then dinner.

definitely the ice skating rink!! you guys can chill - have fun and later sit down together and talk over a cup of cocoa
besides - i can't think of any good movies out rite now...unless u want scary - but still, movies can be distracting and sometimes the movie takes over the date.... expensive and soo typical too

The movies ... then you can take her out for icecream after and talk about the movie too! Ice Skating would be fun after I felt really safe with him ... ya know? Sometimes just sitting quietly in a movie is so romantic! Good Luck!
