Christ said that you can't get into heaven except through him. That is an exclusionary statement. That does not make him a nice guy at all, and that was not the only thing he said that was not nice. Christians are very like their Christ, just not in the way they think they are.

Simple: They believe that Christians are better, which is not true by any means: We are the as the same value as an atheist, we just have found the light.

We don't desever to be here, we could all be sitting in Hell right now: Or non-existance, but God chose to give us life, in a sense we are better, but not in the way that most people would assume: Not really in worth but we can be used by God to witness to other people:

All men are created equal in my opinion: I do not look down on someone because of their belief or skin color or wealth, power pr anything like that: We are all God's creation and we should treat each other with respect and love everyone:

We are all human, and are subtile to faults. But we can overcome our problems through Christ:

The below quote is from someone who has no understanding of the new testament. Jesus taught in the temple. He was a well known Rabbi. He was crucified for declaring he was GOD, the king of Israel, and GOD's messiah. (he is)

Ok. first of all, Jesus was not killed for not being a practicing Jew. He was a diligent and religious Jew. The reason he was crucified was because he was claiming to be the king of the Jews and the son of God, which traditional Jews saw as blasphemy because they believed that Yahweh was the only God, and they viewed this as polytheism. Also, one of the core tenets of the Bible is that the only way to heaven is through Christ. Jesus says "I am the way the true and the light, NO ONE comes to the father except through me." Thats not something that believers just made up out of thin air. That was the teaching of Christ. Most Christians don't attack people of other faiths, but try to get them to convert because they DON'T want them to go to hell.

Sad isn't it. Ghandi was right. However, I like to think it is because we are all on a spiritual journey and some are farther along the pathway to love. Some REALLY know what love and acceptance is... some haven't gotten that far.

They like to say they are loving the sinner and hating the sin. But, though I am sure it is true for a few, for many it is just a way to justify their unacceptable, judgemental behaviour. For many it is just a way to avoid looking at their own weakness and sin. They feel they have the right and DUTY to decide who needs to be saved, and who has a pure heart.

Why? Who knows. It is perfectly clear to me when I read the bible that there are none perfect, no not one. NONE are pure enough to get into heaven. So, if you aren't pure enough to get into heaven, why are you telling others to get pure enough to get into heaven?? When you have perfected your way into heaven, then tell me how to do it. Otherwise, just tell me Jesus loves me and I am saved by Grace just like you are. Stop pushing me out of churches because you think you are less of a sinner than I am.

It is sad, sad, sad.

No, you would be able to desire to settle for Him simply by fact the Son of God, simply by fact of this he's God in flesh. seem at this passage: Luke 23:40-40 3 however the different, answering, rebuked him, asserting, "Do you not even concern God, seeing you're under an identical condemnation? John 5:18 states: 18For this reason the Jews tried each and all the greater good to kill him; not basically replaced into he breaking the Sabbath, yet he replaced into even calling God his own Father, making himself equivalent with God. it somewhat is clean that the early followers of Christ believed that Christ replaced into God in flesh or on the least in some why shape or form a hundred% equivalent with God. in spite of in case you seem at Christ being nailed on a go. This replaced right into a curse to Jewish human beings and that they have been to furnish their existence for yet another Jew - yet yet they of course gave Him over - Why? simply by fact it replaced into lawful to convict to death on the go person who claimed to be God. it somewhat is why that they had no subject with it. Even Peter's Church , which we nonetheless be responsive to the area has imprinted on the partitions the worshipof Christ as God or Diety. So no, you may't settle for Christ without somewhat accepting who he's, and that's God in flesh. we live in an age the place we've not any subject re-defining christianity and what it potential to be christian, yet neither the way nor the Diety of Christ has replaced. and that's regardless of denomination nor age.

An equally valid question would be, "Why do you place all Christians in a classic Catch-22 situation?"

We are accused of being self-righteous and thinking that we're superior to everyone else. Then, when we say that we do make mistakes and are human, we're accused of being hypocrites and bad examples of what a Christian 'should' be.

How about stopping the generalizations and allowing us to be human beings -- individuals with our own talents, personalities, and quirks? If you have a problem with a particular Christian, take it up with them. Stop blaming all of us for what someone else has done in history.

Geee, I like this Q and I am a Christian. I'm in China. We Christians are humans. Christ is not. He can even walk on water. Why don't you ask why Christians can't walk on water instead ? I am FOR ALL religions. I believe Christianity is NOT the only way of salvation. At least here in China, MOST Christians agree with me. What's the situation in the US ? What's going on ?

With people like Fred Phelps, yes, it sounds like to me that would be the case. Then again, with all the stuff going on in the Old Testament, I'm not even really that sure.

I know it's not all Christians, but I run into quite a handful of them.
