I take Paxil, and I weigh about 100 pounds. I am 5'5" tall, an adult, and I know that Paxil has not put any pounds on me. It IS possible that you have relaxed enough that you nibble more, or eat larger meals. If you gain weight from Paxil, you are eating more and/or exercising less. Keep track of ALL you eat........you might shock yourself. Try it.

often times, anti-depressants will make you gain a few pounds, especially SSRI's (selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors), but it shouldn't be anything really noticeable. The next time you see your doctor, ask him/her about this weight gain, and they should be able to take care of it :-)
