I think that it requires a little more investigation. After all, there is said to be six realms of existence. One's karma is what will propel them into one of these various realms of existence after they experience the intermediate state. Even in the hell realms, there are said to be eighteen hells - cold and hot, crushing, black line, etc. - then there are animal realms, hungry ghost, human, demigod and god realms. So, the possibilities are endless for all of these types of rebirths to take place. It all depends on your karma. Your actions determine your karma. All actions can be divided into two - virtuous and non-virtuous karma. Further, all actions are performed through one or more of the three doors: body, speech and mind. There are further divisions of actions, or karmas, to be certain - there are further divisions of most things, that upon innvestigation are easily supported or negated, no? Anyway, I think that it all depends on your state of mind - all kinds of causes and conditions need to be present for all of these various results. A garden won't bloom unless there are seeds, and soil, and sunlight, and water, and so forth. The same is true of the mind. In fact, all things are experienced in the mind - so, hell might be in your mind. You might be in hell right now! If you are angry, or attached, or ignorant you could be any of these things moment to moment. The important thing to remember is that you can improve your mental state by improving your behavior. That might mean prayer, or study, or cleaning the house. Any of these things that we could endeavour to do, can be directed at service to God, or the buddhas, or our enemies. I hope this is of use to you.

This isn't something a Buddhist worries about since Reincarnation is what the afterlife consists of.

Hell is a part of Christianity, so other religions could care less.

It is not our place to judge them it is CHRIST's Place at the Judgment according to the Bible. This I do know, we are to read, study, and follow GOD's WORD and do our best to be as Christlike as possible. I do not have an answer for you. I wish that our FATHER had given us all answers that we want, but HE hasn't. Have a great weekend.

No. I cannot imagine the Dalai Lama going to hell, or Gandhi (assuming Hell even exists, of course)

No way...Only people who are evil inside do...like rapists and murderers.

Of course I don't believe in heaven or hell, so I would have to say that those people would actually go to a hell of their own making.

Depends on whose belief system you think they are going to be judged by. By theirs? No. According to the teachings of Christianity? Yes.

So, who are you asking? And, you know what Christians believe about this subject, so why do you ask??

i believe that each person make their own 'hell' after death, in order to see each thing that they ever did wrong and to learn from it, in order to grow spiritually and not repeat the same mistakes in the next life.

but christians would think they do go to hell, because if you don't believe that jesus was the son of god then you're going to hell, regardless of how you live.

If they haven't trusted in Gods Son Jesus for forgiveness of their sins. Yes. I do not believe that through works you can earn your way to heaven. It not what you do, but Who you know.
