I spent the year claiming to be twenty ten. It confused the hell out of most people.
I got so hung up on it that I kind of missed it happening and turned turned thirty one. Then I got a grip and carried on acting like an overgrown kid. I'm off out now to go and knock on some doors and run away...

I totally did. It's funny I can say "did" already. My 20-10, as I like to call it, was in February. (I saw it in a movie he he) I am so surprised I survived long enough to get there. But all of a sudden it didn't matter. I don't know why or how. And I am still not crazy about the idea, but I'm OK with it.
Everyone laughed at me because you would think I was in mid life crisis!!! My husband got this company to put GIANT (over 5 ft) cows on my lawn-30 of them, that said Holy Cow Look Who's 30. I about murdered him. ha ha

What the hell are you playing at? I am 31. Here goes - so far in my life;
1) I was bullied
2) The first crush of my life got my best mate pregnant
3) I play the cello
4) I got married at 22 and divorced at 25
5) The long term relationship after that ended when he got a brain tumour.
6) I lost my great aunt, grandad, gr8 uncle, gr8 grandma, grandma and friend in the space of 5 years.
7) I am diagnosed as going deaf (being a musician)
8) my Dad died a month ago.
9) I am now in a job I hate after being forced out of one I loved by a council dictator.
10) There are 400 paracetemol in my bedside drawer.
and you are worried about being 30...? spare me.

I think everyone does because ,you are not as young as you once were. You began to become more wise about paying bills ETC. Paying close attention to paying bills causes stress, then the stress leads to depression.You may even be on a long waiting list for job openings than you once were when you were younger.This can be a big stresser if you are unhappy with your present job.Then along with your health breaking down ,along with wrinkles on your face,and finally weight gain.

I did, I think instead of a mid life crisis I had a 30 crisis but now I think what was that all about! Being 30 is great, I know myself more and feel much more comfortable. 30s are the new 20s!! :o)

Yes I'm depressed because I'm nearly 30 and I still can't afford to buy a decent house. Stupid English house prices!!!!

Don't worry Kid, you think getting closer to 30 is depressing wait until you are getting further away from it!!! then you will have something to worry about!

I found out I am the only one not on anti-depressants in my family now. My parents in 50's, sibs in 20's.

I wouldn't worry if I were you. Women are in their prime in their thirties, whilst the blokes have peaked about 10 years before.
