We have been at war with radical Islam since Iran took our embassy people hostage during the Carter administration. We chose to ignore this disease known as international terrorism for decades. We finally realized that we are at war after the attack on 9/11. The only reason it ended up in Iraq right now is Saddam overplayed his hand. He would still be in power if he had cooperated with the UN inspectors. He liked making everyone believe he had horrible weapons. After 9/11 we could not take the chance that he did and might provide the technology to terrorists. Since we were still at war with Iraq since Dessert Storm, we took the opportunity to take out his perceived threat.
The terror supporting countries in the region realize the threat to them that a Free Iraq would pose, have been supporting the insurgency with money and sophisticated weapons. The disease of fundamentalist Islam tyranny cannot abide the cure that liberty brings to the long suffering people of the Middle East.

Before we were in the war Bush thought Iraqi President Saddam Hussein have weapons of mass destruction. The United States and U.K give Saddam 48 hours to leave his country for inspections of weapons of mass production in Iraq or face an invasion, But Saddam refused. U.S and British Invaded Iraq and successfully overthrew Saddam and begin inspections, and when they got there they saw Iraqi citizens thanking the U.S for overthrewing Saddam and tell all what Saddam had been a bad President and killed more and 5 hundreds thousands Iraqi's civilians. After Bush learn about Iraq and it's Government Regime on their own people, Bush add a New Mission, "Operation Freedom" in which U.S will try to reform Iraq's Constitution and create a new governments for Iraq.

First of all, we're not JUST in Iraq. We're in the Middle East because they bombed us. We were are also trying to find the weapons of mass destruction, which we did find, it just wasn't put on the news because all of the reporters are liberal. I know for a FACT that we already knew Iraq had weapons of mass desruction because my family worked in the military. We also went there to find the leaders of the bombing. We didn't just go there to kill, soldiers help many people by giving out food. We also wanted to help Iraq improve its government. If you voted for John Kerry, you should know that he even voted to send troops, and then changed his mind during the election. And if you believe 911 was just a "scam", you better think again because i know people who were there. It wasn't George W. Bush alone who chose to go to war, he was just doing his job by listening to people like John Kerry. So don't take this lightly because it's not a joke and we ARE there for a pretty darn good reason.

1)WMDs-We all know he had them. If it weren't for the UN, we could have attacked him six months earlier and we probably would've found them.
2)Maintaining the no-fly zone and keeping from attacking his neighbors was depleteing our military resources.
3)Saddam was an evil bastard that deserved to die.
4)Terrorists were using Iraq as a base, including Abu Nidal. You can argue that Al Qieda wasn't there, but no one really knows anything about Saddam's relationship with them.
5)Just as pre-war Iraq was an unstabling influence in the region, it will one day influence countries like Iran to become democratic.
6)Saddam was an evil bastard and deserved to die.
7)Oil. Hey I drive a 4x4 pickup with a V8. I will kill ANYONE to go back to paying a buck a gallon for gas.

It's the perfect place to mow down an army of Islamofacists. There arent any mountains to mess with like in Afghanistan.
The objective is almost like the one of the Vietnam war, kill em until they're all gone. The U.S Armed Forces are doing a crack job at it too. Hopefully this time the American Public wont be dumb enough to make the same mistakes they did during Vietnam.

To remove Saddam from power, he was a menace. He should have been removed back in 1990 when they liberated Kuwait.
But the UN didn't want to make waves and didn't sanction his removal from power.
Now, I don't think G.W. Bush was necessarily completely altruistic about it, but I know it wasn't something stupid like Oil. As far as the WMDs, maybe Saddam didn't have them, but does anyone really believe that he wasn't trying to get them?

read the literary work put out by the pnac called rebuilding americas defenses .... what it boils down to is that those in our govt that really run the show and make policy came to the conclusion after the cold war that the US should take advantage of its status as sole world super power and make strategic moves to fortify its position as such ... actually China is seen as the real threat and the middle east is a strategic move on the USs' part to head off China in the future ... and its as simple as that i think ...

Due to we want their oil plain and simple. Also we want to be there abides so that if we start a war with anyone else, they know what we did for them and they now have our back! Which is crazy due to we have killed so many people and when into their country under false pretense. I think our country is down right ignore about other countries and people in general1
