Since we can't throw rice, confetti or bird seeds, we need an original idea for an October wedding?

Pumpkin or squash seeds? Better yet have everyone shake up lots of champagne bottles and release all at once. Some people have the confetti throw session still indoors before the couple go outside. Or to do something radically different you could go out hand-stand style or just rush out. Otherwise one could throw coloured leaves-providing there is no wind and people really need to huck and of course you live somewhere where the leaves actually change colours!

How about blowing bubbles? You could get some bubble machines, or give little bottles of bubble solution to the guests. You can get special wedding bottles of bubbles at party stores.

Or kazoos? Have your guests tweet the end-of-wedding song on little kazoos.

good luck, Mel

We used bubbles and a friend used bells. Both were great. I originally wanted to use dried lavendar. It smells wonderful and it's supposed to be good luck but it was too expensive.

we had our dachshunds Harley & Davidson "married" just outside the church and brought them in the limo with us and dropped them off at a doggy daycare together while we went to the reception.
