And I mean that as in do you spend time with them. Why or why not? I never eat at the dinner table and just today as I got my food from the table and left downstairs I thought to myself, is this really how my family is? Does anyone else feel the same?

I have 8 kids and so we dont fit at the table together, so my hubby and I eat in the living room, but I wont let the kids, because they spill too much. We say a food prayer every time and they take turns saying the prayer. some days, the older ones work so they eat their own food and we eat with out them. I think the best thing you can do is once you have your own family, or are on your own make your own rules and make eatting a fun time for your own family. I love to be around my kids and enjoy them around me. so why do you eat alone??? maybe try staying at the table and shock everyone. but dont be offended if they comment about it, just say you decided to eat with everyone, and you are cool about it.

My family is close. Most of the time we eat together not always at the dinner table but we are in the same room. My husband & my son mean so much to me they are my life. My son is in the fifth grade I want to know everything he is doing and I try to help out when there is field trips or activities at school. Both my husband and I help him with his homework. I am very close to my own personal family I have three brothers. As adults we are close we do a lot for each other help out with each others kids.

well my hubby is working in the Middle East and i must confess i eat while watching tv or on the run. My son whom i adore eats in the kitchen, but he likes to linger there for an hour, he seems happy enough. We used to all eat together like a family. I keep thinking we're going to get back to that someday. geee kid, you hit a nerve, leave it to a kid.

im pretty close to my family, though we all have really busy schedules, so the only time we're together is on sunday morning... and only for a few hours then. I would love to go back to when I was little and we had lots of family time!

No.... Not at all. I eat wth my whole family and theres 8 of us! Though somtimes when we go to my dad's parents house I'm always out with my friends. I don't like it over there!

Long story short, when I become of age I am moving out, cancelling my phone plan, changing my name, getting a new phone plan, and never talking to any of my family members again! :D That is because my mother, brother, sisters, father, and step parents cut me out of their lives first...

I eat with them, and that is pretty much it. I dont like them parts as my lives. I think they just need to butt out!
