I would say as long as it is tasteful. It may score extra points as being memorable, however there is the chance that dirt would show up on it rather easily.

I would say go for it, especially if it is a proper suit and not too "trendy". It would be one thing that sets you apart, make it easier for them to remember you as well as set you apart from joe smoe

Depends on what type of job you are interviewing for. They always say dress for the job that you want not like the job that you have. I would never wear a bright white suit. They say never to wear a black suit either. You wear black for dead people not an interview. You want to look like you'll fit into your potential work environment. If you don't look like you'll fit in then the interviewers won't think you'll fit into the job either. It's good to stick out but make sure it's in a good way. If it's for a like a fashion magazine then maybe a white suit. If you are interviewing for something like a paper salesman then definitely be more conservative. If you are going to a very conservative place like a Financial Institution a white suit hurt you. Why don't you go there before the interview and see how the management staff are dressed.

If in doubt, go with the dark suit but also think about your personality and how well you would fit in at an uptight place that judges people on suit color.

Do NOT wear a white suit unless your job interview is in a tropical country. You will look like John Travolta, or Don Johnson c1985
