I just got a lower back tattoo which is actually pretty big and goes halfway up my back...The artist told me to use neosporin, i have always used A&D for my four other tattoos and it has worked fine for me...Is neosporin okay for lower back tattoos? And (this is only because all my other tattoos were in warmer weather and not covered up) was it supposed to kind of "imprint" itself on my shirt? Like the color was leaking, I guess...

Use what you feel comfortable with. If you like A&D, stick with it. And yes, it's normal for the color to stain your shirt like that.

Never use Neosporin i'm a tattoo artist and the best thing i recommend is either A&D, tattoo goo, or H2 ocean. And the imprint on your shirt is normal. It's just the ointment and the tattoo "leaking". Remember take care of it and don't pick the scabs!!

tattoo care is the same for almost every spot on the body. i have always heard not to use neosporin on tattoos. i would stick with what has worked for you. and my back tattoo always leaves a little ink on my shirts for the first couple of days.

It probably doesn't matter..I don't think that a lower back tat is any different than a tat in any other area. Different artists recommend different things, do whatever your artist recommends or else whatever you're used to, I don't really think it makes a huge difference.

H2 Ocean is awesome. Also tattoo goo works really well.
