It's pretty simple - "do unto others...." if everyone followed that one golden rule the world would be a much nicer place.

I would say to follow your instincts in most cases... Treat as you would like to be treated. Don't hurt people unless the situation absolutely demands it... Morality is something that depends on the viewpoint of the person discussing it, so that's a tough question.

It should be within you. Only worry about your own views of what is right or wrong. You might be punished for it (like if you think it isnt wrong to kill someone or shoplift) but for legal inner struggles such as getting an abortion or being in an "open" relationship, if its ok with you thats noones business but yours

I can probably discuss this topic for hours... so I just address my point. We should base it on the world, people, and yourself. No one should harm others in any way. IN ANY WAY... not even the government or law. People should be show sympathy... and mean it... I personally do not like pities. I also like people who do the things they do for passion... not for just school or college resume...
I can go on and on. I shall stop now.

In my opinion, The Ten Commandments. They were good enough to inspire the Magna Carta, hence the US Constitution, so they're right on target as far as I'm concerned.
