Christians? Are you serving God because you love Him or is it because that's what people expect?
When I heard this question: I prayed and cried, I was doing all the right things for all the wrong reasons:
What is your input do you really love God?

He did what he didn't have to do...SAVED me!

Good question. From what I know of Christianity, I would say most think there is a hell that one will go to if they don't do the "right" thing. So doing something for fear of hell, is fear based reasoning and not love for God. But most people in general not just Christians want to do the right thing not so much because they love God, but because they want to better themselves and be a good person for other reasons than loving God.

That is a great question. I wouldn't (and didn't) serve God before I loved Him, and anyone who serves Him for any other reason is just wasting his life.

You know, its like this: Friends come and go, but the one true friend you will have during any crisis is God. (Or The Big Sky Daddy!) Think of this: God never abandons you, you abandon God through the choices you make. If you make a choice, But God says no, and you do it anyway and fall down, you don't blame yourself first, you always blame God. "Oh God let me down. He didn't have my back." Well, your friends don't have your back if you go out a murder someone, or rape a child, right?

Love Him. Some days when I am in the flesh and irritated I will go through the motions, that is because I am still human. Then I have to have a reality check and make it right again. It is a constant battle.
