Q & A is simple wrong. Weight Watchers is not a fad diet and in my opinion is one of the best. It is based on scientific principles and encourages eating a well balanced diet from all food group. You must realize that no diet can keep your weight off. You must change your life style to include healthy eating and regular exercise. Weight Watchers helps you do that but only you can determine if the weight will stay off by your actions. If you want to lose a lot of weight in a short span of time, then you are not being realistic. It takes time to remove years of bad living habits. Hope this helps!

Neitherl!!
Eat a variety of fresh healthy foods. Eat when you feel hungry and for the right reasons, like you are actually hungry. Stop when you feel full. Cut back on sugars, fats and carbs, but do not cut them out. Exercise when you can. Walk more, take the stairs more often, go to drop in classes at the Y or community center.
Atkins and Weight Watchers are DIETS. Losing weight is a LIFESTYLE CHANGE. You will gain weight back after doing them. To lose it and keep it off, you need to maintain your healthy eating habits and exercise program forever. Plus, it is a lot cheaper and you still can enjoy yummy foods and not care about counting calories or missing out in some foods. There is also less risk of lacking in any essential vitamins, minerals, or fats.

I would not choose either. They are fad diets, in other words, diets that loose wieght with no effort, resulting in this: you have to stay on that diet forever to keep the weight off.
Atkins only lets you eat meat. Meat has loads of fat in it, and wieght watchers premakes your food so you have to buy it all the time to keep the wieght off... best advise, eat healthy and exercise.

weight watchers is more well rounded nutritionally and is more about better choices and portion control. you will keep weight off longer. atkins will make you lose weight fast, but you will gain it all back plus some extra probably when you go back to incorporating carbs into your diet. it is strict and unforgiving. once you "cheat a little" on atkins it takes two full days to get yourself back into fat burning "ketosis".

Either one is probably good. The question is which one will you be loyal to? Choose the diet that will best fit you lifestyle and wallet. Also, you don't want to be on either one of these for the rest of your life. Does one offer a better ability to make the transtiton to eating none brand foods? Eating right to lose weight is one part of the equation you must also perform adequate exercise.

I like the South Beach diet the best. After a strict two weeks (and you always lost anywhere from 7 to 12 lbs.) You then start to incorporate carbs. Try it, the only thing you have to lose is the weight.
