Jim is my dear friend. Jim told Carol what Denise was spreading to people --"Carol was in love with Jim". Carol didn't say anything. Jim and Carol are still friendly and chatty and Carol is going out to lunch with Jim.
Carol confronted Denise 20 minutes later. Denise was stressed, embarrassed and very angry. Carol also confronted Denise
as to who else keeps spreading vicious gossip about Jim.
Denise wrote a vicious letter about Jim being a lousy office colleague. Which is a lie because Jim is a very good colleague and is not interested in Denise.
This is all none of Denise's business

dont know if carol is in love with jim
carol doesnt know if she's in love with jim or jim wanted carol to confirm or deny the rumor and carol didnt want to play that game
denise was mad because of jim's scheme to blame for the rumor he started
