Whats a really easy Hairstyle for prom that I can do myself?

I need a simple but elegant hairstyle I can do myself for prom. My hair is just past shoulder length and layered.
Note: I am not talented in doing hair at all.

Maybe a french braid, or u can curl it or straighten it. it really depends on ur haircut. if u have layered, then u should straighten it, then just curl the ends toward ur face, if u can understand what i mean. not extreme curls, but just like a wave

If you can get it into a pony tail, twist it up and tuck the ends. Viola, french twist! Its elegant and timeless and anybody can do it. Since your hair is layered, you might have a few pieces fall out...so either spray em up, pin em up with some cute clips, or go with it, give em a little spiral curl with a curling iron for a little princess glam.

i would do braids with little ribbons tying them at the ends. the "little girl" look is REALLY coming back in style! if you have a little more time, take the braids and wrap them around your head, and attach them to your scalp with bobby pins! another great easy hair style is the PONYTAIL. thats where you take your hair, and pull it back. tie it with a scrunchie. if you have a little more time, curl your ponytail after its tied up. if you have a little more time than that, spray hair spray on it. one more really good idea, is have your mommy french braid your hair. if you don't know what this is, or your mommy doesnt know how to do it, have her look it up on the internet. just have her type in the words "french braid instructions" in the yahoo or google search bar.
