First, I am in Germany, and Germans do not like to sell dogs to Americans. Well I really want a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, in the paper it advertised diffrent dogs for sale, vet checked, with papers, up to date on shots. So, I called the guy. He said I am not the breeder, I am the go between. He said he will email pics of dogs, then deliver them. I want to see all the dogs together to choose the best one, but it does not look like I will get to. I really want a cav. I already have a westie. I can not have kids, so my dogs are the closest I'll ever get to having a baby. Also, my hubby fights in Iraq and leaves me here for a year at a time by myself, so my dogs keep me company. This may help to explain my eagerness. The last I spoke to him, the go between was lastnight. He still has not emailed pics or called me. What do I do. Please advice. I am already sad so dont be mean to me. Are there breeders in America who will ship to me? I know I still cant see the dogs.

Also, Germans will not let Americans adopt dogs from the shelters here.

go to puppyfind.com they ship their dogs, my dog which by the way i had shipped in from germany will be haveing puppies she is an akc full blood german shepherd the puppies she has are beautiful she is also a sable which is a rare color that is why i paid 850 dollars for her and when i got her she was so scrawny and stinky, and she still is not the size a shepherd female should be but is very healthy but since she wasnt given a good start at the very begining it stunted her growth, i didnt get her untill she was a year old so tell germany not to be so quick to pass judgement, but puppyfind.com is a really good place to go but it will cost a good penny but i am sure they will ship there to germany, you can enter the breed of the dog you are looking for it is really cool, i got my chihuahua from there, let me know if it works out if not i will find a place for you.

If you are in Germany, why wont they let you buy their dogs? That is just strange. If you are living in Germany, then just look through many articles, or google it. If you live in America and are just visiting Germany, then you could always just look under pet finder. www.petfinder.com That is how I found my corgi! I still dont get why Germans dont sell their dogs to Americans. That is like countriest. Like racest but with countries. LoL. Yeah. that is really strange.

I feel so bad for you! You cant have any babies and your husband fights in Iraq! OmG! I am so sorry! I no how you feel about your dogs being your babies! You could always just google it, or look up pet shops, other breeders, other kennels, and stuff to look for a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

I bet that you could find some GOOD dog breeder in the U.S. if you tried really really hard that would ship the CKCS to you. But if it is for a really low price, then beware! It might have a health problem. If the breeder was good enough, you might have to come and pick the CKCS up yourself, or pay for a ticket to send someone with the CKCS. It is okay if it ships to you by itself, but it would deffinitly be better if someone went with it.

You should just try calling the gobetween back. If you really want that CKCS. But I am not saying that you dont!, dont worry. If he does answer the call or email, just say where are the pictures of the CKCSes? But make sure you say it in a nicer way. lol.

I hope that you will be able to find a CKCS! =)

As soon as you say "different dogs for sale", I know that they are either a puppy broker or a backyard breeder. They either buy dogs from PUPPY MILLS (the places where dogs are bred season after season for profit only, the pups that the mills can't sell in pet shops) and sell them for a profit or they have a lot of dogs and are breeding their females just as a puppy mill would. If you can't meet the mother (dam) of the puppies, do NOT buy them.

I'm very sorry you can not have children and I'm sorry that it may be hard to find a GOOD breeder but it's really worth the wait. Why wouldn't someone from the US ship a dog to Germany? If they are a reputable breeder and are satisfied that you will offer the dog the best possible home, they would be happy to sell a puppy to you.

There are animal shelters all over the world. Go to your local animal shelter and look for a small dog that interests you. No, you probably won't be able to find an 8 week old puppy but there are still many cute dogs in shelters that desperately need a forever home. I suggest taking your Westie to the shelter to interact with the dogs. If you decide to adopt, adopt the one that you and your pooch get along best with.

That is sad. I would not do business with that guy. I got my dog, a rare breed (pharaoh hound), two years ago. I am an American and I had him shipped from the Netherlands. I did my research. I searched online for breeders from all over the world and wrote and wrote and wrote to them. I finally found one that wrote back and was absolutely incredible. She gave me tons of information, asked lots of questions to make sure her dog was going to a good home, and I had to even fill out a questionnaire. She was also mentioned on a lot of different sites regarding the breed so she seemed to be a very respected breeder. I ended up finding her in books on the breed. Do your research and do not settle until you find someone you are comfortable with because you want to turn to them for advice when you need it, especially during the puppy stage. Also, you want to keep in contact with the puppies litter mate owners so that you have support and can see how the others are doing. Cavaliers are beautiful, sweet animals. You picked a wonderful breed...now just make sure you are as comfortable with the breeder. You should check the American Kennel Club website to start - you can see a lot of breeders there:

Stay away from this person. Deal only directly with the breeders. If you deal with this "in between " person you will likely end up with a poor dog.. I suspect he is a dealer. he buys all kinds of puppies from breeders and then re-sells them. Some puppies may be sick and may not show signs for a few days or weeks.

Sorry I am not able to help you more.

I too have family and friends In Iraq. We pray that ALL the troops make it home safe!

Yes, there are breeders in the US that will ship a dog to you.

If it is a good breeder, they will insist that you either fly to the US to pick up the dog, or you pay for the ticket so that someone from the breeder be able to fly with the animal. (To insure that it is picked up by a respectable person).

Also, you might try contacting a breeder in the US that might be affiliated with a breeder there. It might make things easier for you to get a dog there.

I understand how your dogs are your babies. I hope you get your Cav. Good luck!

Ok if I read your question correctly and I think I did. Their are brokers you have to go through in Germany. It is nothing like it is here in the states.
The broker looks for the kind of dog you want. Then he presents you with either pictures or some kind of offer from the kennel that dog is from. At that point you either have the right of refusal or to accept that dog.
The time frame for this can be a long one. So my thoughts to you are to just have a bit of patients with the broker and see if he follows through for you. In the mean time also looks for others who can help you in your search, I'm sure your not the only American there who has purchased a dog in Germany. See how they did it.

Good luck!

What I know about german breeders comes from dealing with them with german shepherds. There is what is known as the broker who does all the negotiating for the kennel. Dog breeding is very regulated in Germany, and only the very best get to breed. I do know that it does take some time to get pictures as the broker usually works for several diferent kennels. Try to be patient and see if he answers you, if he doesn't get back to you try again. Also to find a breeder here in the states just google the breed then start contacting breeders websites.

have you ever asked for evidence of vaccinations? If the breeder actual took the canines to the vet, she could have the potential to a minimum of furnish the vet's call, who could have documents. If she won't be able to furnish the vet's call, then you have been taken, and the canines replaced into no longer likely vaccinated. i think of it particularly is secure to think of that the canines replaced into no longer vaccinated. question the "breeder," yet whilst she fails to furnish the vet's call, then in simple terms say with the purpose on your vet once you're taking the canines in. he will could come to a determination on a direction of action, yet in all probability, the canines wasn't vaccinated besides. ...I in simple terms observed that the breeder won't return your calls. Yeah...you have been taken. The canines wasn't vaccinated.

There are probably breeders that will ship a dog to you just google it and do a ton of research. My friend got a siberian husky shipped to her from britain. You could also call an American friend have them buy you a good cavvy and then ask them to ship it to you. Best of luck!
