If you know something she is really into then go with that...otherwise dinner is usually the #1 choice.... a movie can be good but then you have to consider what to choose to see...do you really want to see a chick flick? OR she may be all into gore ..do you like that? It's kind'a a toss up...but dinner is good and maybe a walk somewhere interesting like a beach or a park.

I don't like going to the movies because you can't get to know someone if you're paying attention to other people on a screen. That's for people who are too shy to look someone in the face.

I like amusement parks.
Picnics at a park with wine or champagne. Apples, pears, Havarti or jack cheese and sour dough bread. Chocolate eclairs or donuts for dessert. Chicken salad sandwiches are great made on onion rolls.

I like horseback riding
A picnic on the beach
Going to the zoo is always fun and a great way to learn about each others personality.

Going to a concert and then a night club afterwards would be a good date too.

Dinner at a restaurant where you can dine outside. Then go out dancing afterwards.

I love ALL of these things for a first date, second date and so on.

If you are thinking she could be "The One", NEVER make your first date a movie. First dates should be for sharing your hopes, dreams and opening the communications lines. A quiet restaurant that doesn't have a lot of traffic. Somewhere that you know you will not be hurried thru dinner by a waitress/waiter who just wants to turn the table. And if you are honest with your answers to any questions she has, it will be a very special relationship.

Dinner and a movie is a good start. But try to be original...think of some interesting places around your town. And think about what kind of girl she is. How about a picnic? Or try to go to an ice cream shop. Amusement park, drive-in theatre, skating, arcade, golfing, fishing, homemade dinner, board games, bars where they have games (in my town Wings has a computer game for the Battle of the sexes). Try to be original and romantic. Like an aquarium, even.

Not over the top, not too slum, but just a comfortable casual place, somewhere others are around, but a booth so you can have some good talking. Maybe an interesting place that gives you things (decor) to talk about.."conversation peices", in case lyour stumbling for something to say. And after that, maybe a walk on the town.

You want to take a girl on the first date to a restaurant. That way she gets good and sleepy when you're on the couch. After she dozes off you can play video games until she wakes up!

Go for it!

To a romantic comedy ( e.g. music and lyrics) at the cinema. After you have seen the film , you can go for a soda and talk about it, you will have something to talk about and you (hopefully) will both have had a pleasant time and a few laughs which will relax you both.

I think the oldest date in the world is a dinner & a movie, let her pick out the place, if she insist that you do then find out what her favorite food is, always (steak/seafood) safe choice & a romantic comedy or funny movie..not a scifi or "guy" movie..good luck!

Usually to a movie and dinner afterwards. Do something different like cook dinner for her and rent some movies;and don't mention sex.
