It's a sad, sad world we live in. If a mother doesn't protect her children who will. I know I'm going to get thumbs-down for this, but considering more than likely the mother ran off with her boyfriend, I hope he does the same thing to her, that she did or let him do to her babies. And then he will get his justice and they will both spend eternity rotting in hell.

It makes me sick too. It's too bad that these things have to happen. My cousin [in my care] has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome because his mother drank during her pregnancy. When he was born custody was given to her mother--the child's grandmother--my aunt. Well, after her husband's death my cousin came to live with me. The court still won't even see me for getting custody even though my aunt is a drug user and doesn't have a stable home. Sad, huh? Any day my cousin can be taken away from me and given to a drug user living in an unstable environment, and a very unhealthy home--she has 30+ cats in the home. It's sad that the government would allow this but eh--I guess that's the way it goes. Because of my experience with CPS and the government concerning my cousin's well being this doesn't surprise me as unfortunate as it is.

There are many people who abuse children, and have them taken away from them, but keep having more children.

I don't think that there are laws not allowing people to have more children, or forced sterilization.

My sister has done close to the same thing....family and government can only do what they can to a certain extent. My parents took custody of the abused child, but she has since moved to another state and had 3 more children. She is constantly trying to get custody of the abused child again, with no luck, thank God.

She is a drug addict and an alcoholic, abuses welfare, and neglects her children. I do not speak to her.

i agree completely. i know a girl who does meth and did wiht all of her pregnancys and she has had 4 children all of whom are in the state custody and they are not tryin to stop her from having children. I am 23 and she is younger than me i think she is 20 and have 4 kids and another one on the way.

She hasnt stopped using meth either and yet the state hasnt taken her most recent child from her yet. i makes me so mad and sick to my stomach. people who put their children in danger on purpose should be put in jail.
