I'm an ex-Wiccan. These are some really good books on the subject:

Crafting The Art of Magic by Adian Kelly ( A Wiccan "Tradition Head")
The Triumph of The Moon
Stations of the Sun by Ronald Hutton ( A History Professor at Oxford University, and not easily dismissed.)
Goddess Unmasked: The Rise of Neopagan Feminist Spirituality by Philip G. Davis
Witchcraft and Demonology by Montague Summers
The Encyclopedia of Witchcraft and Demonology by R.H. Robbins
The Myth of Matriarchal Prehistory: Why An Invented Past Will Not Give Women a Future by Cynthia Eller
The Genocide of Women in Hinduism By Sita Agarwal
Occult Bondage and Deliverance by Kurt Koch

Principles of Belief, The Council of American Witches (1974)

If you're interested specifically in Wicca, I'd recommend the following to get you started:

"Wicca for the Solitary Practioner" by Scott Cunningham
"The Power of the Witch" by Laurie Cabot
"The Craft: A Witch's Book of Shadows" by Dorothy Morrison

If you're interested specifically in witchcraft, I highly recommend: "Witchcraft: Theory and Practice" by Ly de Angeles

I also highly recommend you steer clear of ANYTHING by Silver Ravenwolf. She's a charlatan whose purpose is to do nothing but make money (imo).

"Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham is usually the first book I recommend for people who want to investigate Wicca.

I highly recommend "The Triumph of the Moon" by Ronald Hutton as an excellent non-Wiccan perspective on the history of modern Pagan witchcraft.

I also have an ebook called "A Practical Guide to Witchcraft and Magic Spells" by Cassandra Eason which is quite a handy text for beginners, if you can find it.

I advise you to stay away from anything by Silver Ravenwolf, for reasons outlined in the following essay:

The http://wicca.timerift.net site also has a book review section that you might find helpful.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to email me.
