Ok rice milk is not milk, and prohibition against milk during diarrhea is only really applicable to cow's milk.

Breast milk is a perfect rehydration solution, as is watery cereal.

Now I don't know much about rice milk. I do know it tends to be sweetened and that sugar (particularly corn syrup) can make diarrhea worse.

However it is probably safe to use.

Anything dairy is bad when you have diarrhea. I would stick with just the rice or banana. Cheese is also good.

We just got through this with our son.

Banannas, Bread, Soy Milk, No Dairy or Fruit. Try those soy yogurt cups they have for kids.

Make sure you wipe their bottoms right after they go to the restroom. I just rinsed off my sons bottom in the tub because the wipes were really irrating to his diaper rash.
