When I say truth I am talking about The Bible, which is the truth to everything. There is no need for hateful responses. Because if you do give a hateful response that just sort of proves my point, that people are afraid of the word of God, they rather deniy the existents, and insult others rather than listening to their heart and following God.

The truth is that the Bible is only a book. It's historical fiction, just like Gone With the Wind.

It may be the truth to you and I respect your conviction. This is not a hateful response and I am not insulting you. There's something I'd like to know however: Which Bible are you referring to? The Old Testament? The New Testament? Both? And what exactly do you mean by God? The One God? The Trinity God? The Jesus God?

Sooo the truth to everything is that you (as a woman) are little more than the property of men (worth 30 shekels of silver) only good for baby-making and the world is flat and still (with the sun moving around it), birds and bats are the same thing, Jesus had three completely different "last words" when he died (different for each gospel account), and so on... And then there's the whole thing where disobedient children should be stoned to death, the bible says it 5 times so it must be serious.

Interesting. Well non-thinking, non-human slave woman, go make your master a pie, stop reading things online, and kill any non-believers you see. It is, after all, the truth to everything as you believe.

By hateful, do you mean wishing ill of you, or do you mean simply disagreeing with your Bible? I will not hate you, but i will trash your Bible given the opportunity.

Your question is impossible for me to give a straight answer, because you are ASSuming a couple of premises that i don't share: that i'm upset by the truth and that the Bible is the truth. Fact is, i think the Bible is a collection of fairy tales, regardless of what you think i think. What does upset me is when people preach at me uninvited, or misrepresent science, evolution, or atheism.

I don't deny God's existence because i'm afraid of His word; i deny His existence because i don't believe that He exists. You don't know what goes on in our heads, so please stop guessing. What makes you think i havrn't listened to my "heart"? How can i follow God if i can't find Him?

Please read your bible and at every fantastic episode ask yourself if it seems likely to be real. If any of the claims seem suspect do a bit of research. Do you believe Exodus with the plagues, the death of all the first born in one night, the parting of the Red Sea or the loss of most of the army in one afternoon. Do you think the Egyptians might have made notes. The Egyptian histories have been found and deciphered. They never mention such events. Odd because they record such minor things as neighbours fighting. You would think any of these things in the bible would deserve at least a passing mention.

We don't get upset by the "truth" as you call it. We get upset at people pushing their illogical reasoning on us. My heart tells me that the Bible is not the Word of God. And we get upset at people telling us what we are or are not denying. You do not know our thoughts, our reasoning or our hearts. I find your question hateful in that it is full of assumptions about me. That is what upsets me. And it is so illogical to assume that if someone is upset by your question it is because they fear the word of God. So illogical it's almost amusing, only it's not amusing because it is this kind of reasoning that leads to hate. You do not even understand why people get upset with you. How do you expect anyone to believe that you understand the "truth?"

It boils down to this:

Intellegent people understand the Bible to be the work of man. Intellegent people know man is inherently untrustworthy. So when you come around stating it is the word of God, and not to be questioned, you come off as either snake oil salesman or a Stepford wife. Eitherway, inherently untrustworthy because you are either incapable of reason, or willing to prey on peoples most basic needs to get your way.

I give you the benefit of doubt and guess you are not of the latter variety.

people get offended because u keep truing to enforce your "truth" on others who don't care about all this nonsense i don't get easily upset but if u tell me what to believe in or whats the truth i snap and get angry i feel that god is just a form of control and the concept is made to limit our almost infinite potential
so u know what i hear when i listen to it i hear the clockwork beating of my heart not god or anything else

I think you misunderstand why some people do not believe in God, or at least the Christian God you are speaking of. The majority of non-Christians either grew up in a different religion or find that there is no substantial proof that a higher being exists. Now the real question is, how do you know that what you believe is true? What makes you any more right about religion than Buddhists, or Jews, or atheists?

Truth is personal - and the Bible is YOUR truth but it might not be another person's truth. That's why. We are all entitled to our own personal truths and beliefs. No one religion holds a monopoly on the truth. Remember - God has no religion (Ghandi).

For you the Bible is the truth, while the Koran or sacred texts of Buddhists or Hindus, or other faiths are not true. Please understand that for Hindus, Buddhists, Moslems, Jain, and all other faiths, they feel the exact same way you do, revering their own book of truth and rejecting all others, including the Bible. Now understand that many more people, including myself, reject all books of faith, prefering instead books based on factual evidence. I hope that you don't see any hate in the preceding statement; it's simply a statement of fact.
