What God addressed to prophet Muhammad in the Koran, can logically be understood as:

"They question you about strong drink and games of chance. Say: In both is great abuse and usefulness for mankind; but the abusive side of them is greater than their usefulness." (2. Al-Baqarah :219).

The Holy Quran, 5.91: Satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from prayer: will ye not then abstain?

Alcohol isnt Khamr. Khamr is Wine from grapes which even a drop is forbidden. different alcohol, from barley sultanas and so on at the instant are not strictly Khamr, consequently there is distinction of opinon in this (in step with diverse ahadith), that's what actual Islam is approximately. transformations on doubtful issues are ideal. Its in basic terms dogmatic once you falsely have self belief the Quran is the only guidence. It couldnt have been. Its like asserting Gods plan for Muhammed replaced into incorrect??? ....however the injunction is against all intoxicants. some say that intoxication has a definition of once you cant distinguish the sky from the earth (or the room spins) there is ROOM for transformations of opinion in Islam. consequently your mindset is illogical. Your attempting to make dogmatic what isnt.

I think you should understnd that, athough middle east is predominantly Muslim, theres almost different 'levels' of Islam...some turks dont put Islam into practice and others are really strict. Some parts of turkey women are all veiled and some parts they walk around in short skirts. So u cant tarr all Turkish with the same brush. You also have to remember Turkey is European and Asian. They define the asian side and european side from a river. Turkey has much european infulence

I agree with all answers above and I want to add somethnig too:

Allah wanted Muslims to go to Moon, Mars etc. but they are still not developed. They still believe in stupid things, they still just think about Islam's rules, no other thing.

We are not very religious but crimes here are less than the countries which have people who call themselves real Muslims. We are more developed and we even can go to Moon one day..

yes we are Muslims. ( and proud of it ) We fullfill what ever is said in İslam. In Ramadan we all fast and give alms as said and etc. But we are also secular and modern. We can differentiate the time to pray and to have fun.We can differentiate sin and good deeds.
Over all religion should be between god and the person him/herself.
