they're only here to help ... n i KNOW there r a few bad cops out there .. but that doesn't mean all cops r bad

they put their lives on the line for ppl who treat them like sh*t but they still do it ... they don't have to b cops ... they could b other things ... but they still choose to risk their lives for ppl that treat them like sh*t

just think ... what would happen w/o cops?
more murders .. more burgarlaries ... more assults .. more rapes ... more sh*t like that
but apparently those r good things right?

Well I know that there are some good cops, but my general experience of them as a whole has not been good.
My most recent experience was when my family was staying at a hotel and the fire alarm went off. My family asked me to check with the main desk if it was a real alarm, which in retrospect I realize is was really stupid of us since if an alarm goes off your supposed to just go.
I walk down to the lobby and ask the hotel worker if it's real, and he says yes that some clothes in the laundry room caught fire. I then turn around to run back and get my family (including my young infant) out of the building, but right then a cop starts pushing me several times, full of anger, saying "There is a fire in the building! Get out!" I tried to explain I needed to warn my family, but he just kept screaming at me and pushing me.
In my opinion he didn't care about helping me at all, otherwise he would have told me to leave but offered to get my family.
He just wanted someone to scream and get in a fight to make his life more exciting, regardless of the fact that my infant and wife needed help. As a man I was about two inches away from throwing punches at the guy, for trying to stop me from protecting my family. Of course if I did that, I would have been the one thrown in jail, even though he was the one that was being out of line.

I think the problem is that it's a profession that attracts bullies. A good portion of them are in the profession not because they want to "save lives" but because they want to carry a big stick and use it without consequence, basically being legal thugs. It's like they love it when someone resists them, since it's an opportunity for them to beat the hell out of someone.
Events like this are not rare:

As far as what would happen without them? People might actually be responsible for protecting themselves!
Did you know by law that cops are not responsible to protect you from violence anyways? See this link:

People should be able and willing to protect themselves, just like in the wild west.
There will be much less criminals when there is a 90% chance that each house the criminal goes into goes into will have a gun barrel pointed at him.

I find it really ironic that cops always moan that everyone always bitches about them until they are needed, but in fact police chiefs are one of the main reasons that gun owners rights are being restricted constantly, by making it harder and harder to defend yourself.
