Ever wonder why Muslims are so easily controlled by their religious leaders?

Quran 4:59 "O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and those charged with authority among you." http://www.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/004.qm...

The Quran tells Muslims to obey Allah, Muhammad and religious leaders. Well, Allah and Muhammad arent around, so that leaves Imams. Remember, the word is "obey", and since the Quran is beyond question in the Islamic community, this word has more power than any word in any western legal code. Muslims believe these words with every cell in their body.

Remember some of the early post-911 footage from Afgansitan on CNN. Who can ever foget the reporter who asked a Muslim:

"wait, so if your religious leader asked you to murder babies, you would do it?",

"Of course!" the Muslim indignately and condescendinly replied via translation "they impart the will of God to us".

This obedience has no corrolary outside Islam. Its absolute.

So! We are suposed to be suprised by that?
We have been looking at young men strapping on bombs and blowing up their own people on a daily basis so nothing at this point would shock us.

Good Question actually...

Now, first we know exactly who the first to they are talking about on who to obey... Allah and the Prophet. Now, this is where it gets tricky.... "and those who have authority among you."

Now, the ones that have authority would have to represent the Prophet, who in turns represents Allah in every way. The only ones known for doing are the 12 main Imam's (not the imams you see everyday). These 12 are special in the way that they are part of the family of the Prophet (Ahlul Bayt), that they only carry on the message that the Prophet came with (meaning they do not implement their own rulings), and they are free from sins.

In a way, you can call them Muhammad's Deciples. All of them are dead except for the last one, which is in occultation and is said to return with Jesus Christ and make the world better, this will happen when the world is at it's most evil and wicked time period.

Now, the Muslim's that you are speaking of, are called Wahabbi's. They are the ones that are causing all the rifts between sunni's and shia's, and they are the ones that follow people like Bin Laden, and those are the ones that turn the translations of the Holy Quran to fit their personal belief. They also believe that killing others will get them 70 virgins or whatever.

So ya, the media, and other people will tell you the bad things about Islam.. but they are wrong and just want to confuse people so they don't even think about the religion... but if you do your research you will see how logical the religion really is....just don't look at the middle easterners and think that is Islam.

Not all Muslim leaders are "saints" or correct. To ensure what the muslim leader said is logical and correct, we go back to the Koran and the saying of the Prophet. Remember some of the early post-911 footage from Afgansitan on CNN. Who can ever foget the reporter who asked a Muslim:

"wait, so if your religious leader asked you to murder babies, you would do it?",

"Of course!" the Muslim indignately and condescendinly replied via translation "they impart the will of God to us".>>> these kind of people, we call em BEAST since they truly are out of Islamic teachings and they will duely be punished in the Hereafter for being Stupid, Ignorant and MORON

We could never go against the teachings of Islam- no matter who told us to do it. That includes the murdering of innocent babies you mentioned. Whoever said that was crazy. Leaders are not prophets!
In Islam each individual is responsible for their deeds--- so we have to always try to do the right thing, in accordance to the Quran and the Sunnah- which says to not kill women or children- even in times of war!!!!
So whoever goes against that- then they are breaking the rules of their own religion.

Soldiers everywhere and once upon a time most Christians also did that.

Some still do. Look at what happened in the Iraqi Prisons and what is happening in Guantanimo.

Since Islam, however, is very Orthodox, that point of view has not changed much.

"religion affects how people relate to one another and how they engage in social action. religion has long proven helpful in regulating social behavior, something that will be particularly important to a tyrant who cannot necessarily count on the freely chosen support of his subjects."
